10000 trees in a day
Attymon National school played a huge role in this historical and momentous occasion. Teachers, parents and children all worked together on a cold and blustery morning. We planted three hundred trees which just goes to show what a small school community can achieve when we all work together. Well done to everyone involved in this project. The fruits of our labour will be seen for many generations.
Here are a few pictures of all our happy hard workers.

St Brigid's Day
St Brigid's Day takes place on the 1st of February. Each year we come together as a school to make St Brigid's crosses. We usually have the help of a local craftswoman named Sue, she tells us stories and we sing celtic songs. Unfortunately she was not with us this year but we gave it a go anyway. We think we did a good job!
