Trip to Clara Bog
On Friday 17th of April we were guests of the National Parks and Wildlife Service at Clara Bog Visitor Centre and Boardwalk. National Parks and Wildlife Service Education Centres aim to raise awareness of the natural world and the importance of conserving and protecting our biodiversity. Outstanding Suzuki Award.
- Congratulations to this pupil in our school who was the first person in Ireland to graduate from Suzuki Recorder Twinkle level. She needed to know how to play a repertoire of Suzuki tunes before she was eligible to graduate in Cork last Sunday. We are very proud of her achievements and much praise must go to her teacher Kendra who teaches recorder to the children in the school every Tuesday.

Catholic Schools Week
Monday 26th of January : Today is the first day of Cathoilc Schools Week 2015. Jesus taught us by his words and actions how we can serve God with love. We serve God by loving our families and friends. God also wants us to love those who are difficult to love, those who are mean or unkind to us or the people we don't like.

Halloween Party
We played traditional Halloween games including bobbing for apples and peanut races. We told spooky stories and ate our fill! (of Bairín Breac)

Halloween Walk
Today, Friday the 24th of October, we went on our annual halloween active school walk from Margies. We all dressed up in our costumes and really enjoyed the walk
Baboro Children's Art Festival
On Friday the 17th of October we took our annual bus trip to Babóró Children's Art Festival.Firstly we visited the Sea explorers exhibition in the Galway Museum. From there the children in the junior room walked to the town hall theatre to see a dance show called the Flying cow. The children in the senior class went to see "The Curious Scrapbook of Josephine Bean." It was on in The Taibhearc theatre. We had a great day out.

MS READ A THON
Friday the 10th of October marks the beginning of the MS Readaton 2014! We enjoy reading and love books.

October Mission Month and Children helping Children prayer day
This month we followed the mission month calendar of activities and prayers. Each day we prayed and tried to grow closer to God. We had a special prayer service and prayed for children all over the world.
We started Rugby!
We had great fun playing rugby today. Darren Collins is helping us to learn how to play and we will be training with Darren every Monday.
Attymon National School; New school year 2014/2015.
Attymon N.S., will re-open on Wednesday the 27th of August at 9.20am. We are all really looking forward to the new school year and we hope you will continue to check the website for information and updates about school activities throughout the year.
