Planting peas
It's planting time!
In the Month of May we plant seeds!
The children in Attymon planted shallots, radish, lettuce and pumpkins in our school garden. They learned sowing techniques and the many benefits of gardening such as encouraging them to eat healthier, improving focus and memory and the positive impact gardening has on wellbeing.

Kay's Final Vist
Kay made her final visit to Attymon in October. She helped the Senior Room with weeding. The Senior room put bark on the garden floor to make it more presentable. We covered our fruit and vegetables boxes to protect them from the harsh weather. The Senior Room and Kay helped the Junior Room plant Daffodil bulbs for the Spring. We look forward to seeing them bloom.
Window Boxes
We spruced up our window boxes in September.

Autumn 2013
Kay came to visit and assist us with our garden again. We really enjoy her assistance. She gave us lots of jobs to keep our garden in great shape. We tidied up our boxes and harvested out vegetables. We also planned our planting.

Summer 2013
Our garden is in full bloom and is looking great. Kay visited the school four times this term and helped us with every aspect of the garden from planting to weeding to harvesting some of our vegetables. We learned so much about from Kay. We really enjoyed her visits.
